Directions:
Take I-70 West to just past Hancock. Get in your left lane. Exit onto
I-68 West to Exit 14, US 219 SOUTH toward Oakland. Go past Deep Creek
Lake to the back end of Oakland. Turn left at the light on the hill to
stay with US 219 South. At the next large intersection go straight onto
MD 135 East. (Fuel up at Amoco or go past next turn to BP.) You will go
to Mountain Lake Park. Turn right at light onto MD 560 South, you will
cross some railroad tracks and then come to a steep hill and a tee in
the road. Hang a left there to stay with MD 560 South and through Loch
Lynn Heights. You will past one entrance to the Potomac State Forest.
Stay straight. You will go down a very long and steep hill on 560. At
the bottom the road will start to bear right. At that point, you will
turn left onto White Church Road. The sign is usually on the right. You
will head up a hill. The road will fork. Go to your left. The road will
go to a lower standard and get very narrow and feature some very sharp
turns. You will go past a farm. Stay straight. The road will become a
gravel/dirt road and start to go down hill a bit. You will eventually
come to a major fork in the road, with some DNR signs in the middle.
Bear right and head up. At the top of the hill, the road will bear
right. Maybe about 100 yards past that point, you will come to a large
square wooden gate. Behind that gate is our campsite. This is a 4 1/2
hrs. drive, typically from Baltimore.

**Please

 | This campsite is by reservation only and is a group site. |
 | Most of the roads that we four wheel on are normally gated and
closed to the public. |
 | At least, at this time. You can only get access on our club event,
with the organized group. |
 | Anyone using these roads at any other time will be cited. Please
do not mess it up for everyone. |
 | Obey the law. |
 | There is like a 15 MPH speed limit on the dirt roads. It is
strictly enforced. |
 | This is an excellent family area. |
 | Still use caution when in this area, as the weather changes very
quickly here and there are rattle snakes on some sections of this
mountain and while they are poisonous, they are protected. |
