Directions:

From Baltimore, take I-70 to US15/340 South/West to US 340 to Virginia highway 7 West (Winchester) to I-81 South to US 33 West. From here on will depend on what area you are camping. Typically, a 4 hr drive.

Requirements:

bulletAny four wheel drive is welcome. Must be street legal and tagged.
bulletChallenge ranges from very mild to almost impossible in sections.
bulletTrails are often miles a part and may be several miles long.
bulletStarting out with a full tank is a must.
bulletThis area is open to the public.
bulletSome routes are open seasonally or just during hunting season.
bulletNever wheel there by yourself.
bulletAiring down is recommended, especially on the more challenging sections.
bulletSkid plates are recommended if you plan on doing the more difficult sections.
bulletClosed roads are marked by signs, gates and tank traps.
